RE: 5th Wheel Spirit Level

Thanks to all of you who responded to my plea. It looks like it's what I have been looking for. Guess I'll give it a try and see how it works out.

RE: 5th Wheel Spirit Level

How about this. The one I use. That's the one I am looking for. From any of you 5er guys that are using this particular LEVEL, I would like your evaluation and or comments, please. Is it of quality construction, is it accurate, etc ?

RE: 5th Wheel Spirit Level

Thanks Dave. That's close but not exactly like the one I'm looking for. The ones I've seen have a vertical bracket on each side of the level that mounts onto the side of the pin-box with self tapping screws, using curved slotted holes for adjustment.

5th Wheel Spirit Level

I have seen a few 5ers with a fifth wheel specific spirit level mounted on the pin box. It has a bracket that has a slotted hole for adjustment, and it provides both lateral and fore and aft leveling. I have searched the internet for one without any success. Can anyone help me out? TIA

RE: Need new tv advice (1500 vs 2500)

You can never have too much TV; go for a 2500.

RE: Bolt pattern for Keystone Trailer

Your current wheels are 5 studs on a 4 1/2" diameter circle. If you want to install 16" tires/wheels, you will probably need a 6 lug wheel, unless someone is making a 16" wheel in your present lug pattern.

RE: Anybody lower torsion axles to gain height?

Didn't lower the arms, but on my previous 5er I did install a factory "lift kit" which gave my a 3 1/2" vertical boost. That provided a dead level tow and eliminated the "tail-draggin". The same could be done without a factory kit by installing rectangular tubes between the axle and frame.

RE: Difficult to separate 50/30 adapter

Apply some Dielectric Compound. It's slippery and it will also keep moisture out of the connection.

RE: how do I make the yellow go away

I'm another satisfied Krylon Fusion user. Did the entry door window frame and the outside hood-vent cover.

RE: Goose neck adapter, how do I get it off my 5th wheel.

John, I must have a different style. Couldn't find that bolt you were talking about. I use a hammer and a block of wood to move it and I did about an 1/8in or less. I think it has rusted some and is stuck. Sprayed WD 40 and will try again tomorrow. thanks, will let you guys know. You'll have much better luck with PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench.

RE: Slide adjustment

Underneath the outer wall of the slide there is a bracket that is bolted to each of the the two slide mechanisms. They have slotted holes for the bolts holding the brackets to the slide frame. These slotted holes provide vertical adjustment of the slide and can easily be done while the slide is in the full OUT position. HTH
